At Dendera you visit the temple of Hathor, goddess of love, joy and beauty, with its massive stone roof, underground passages and a rare relief of Cleopatra and her son. At Abydos you visit the temple begun by Seti I and finished by Ramesses II, a centre of the cult of Osiris whose wall paintings are among the best preserved in Egypt.
The drive itself is part of the pleasure, passing villages, fields and views of the Nile. Hotel transfers, entrance fees, service charges and taxes are included. Lunch is not part of the price.

How long is the drive?
It is a long day of about 12 Stunden including the drives between Luxor and the two temples, so bring water and sun protection.
