Overview
Watch the sun rise over ancient Thebes from a hot air balloon. After an early pick-up you are driven to the launch site on the West Bank of the Nile, where you have a light snack, meet the pilot and crew and hear a full safety briefing.
The flight lasts roughly 35 to 45 minutes in a shared basket. As the light grows you see the columns of Karnak on the east side, Queen Hatshepsut's temple glowing at dawn, the Colossi of Memnon rising from the fields and the Valley of the Queens among the cliffs. If the wind allows, the balloon also passes over the Ramesseum.
A ground crew follows the balloon and meets you at the landing. You receive a flight certificate and a souvenir, and you are back at your hotel or ship in time for breakfast and your morning tours.
