A day trip to Luxor from the Red Sea is long. Splitting it over two days with a night in a 5-star hotel lets you enjoy both banks of the Nile without rushing.
You drive about four hours to Luxor, check in and have lunch, then visit Karnak and Luxor Temple in the softer afternoon light. The next morning, after breakfast, your Egyptologist takes you to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.
